Europe Trip 2019 - London; Day 1.1

It has been a week now since Hubby and I are back in Malaysia. It’s time to jot down the memories and travel anecdotes that we picked up along our trip.

We purchased Qatar Airways ticket during their promotion back in July. I was just scrolling along my SocMed when suddenly I saw the ads. I said to him, “wow return ticket to Paris is just RM2000/pax!” then his reply, “let’s go then!”. I was like, reallyyyyyy????

Long story short, we were on board Qatar flight outbound to Paris Charles de Gaulle on 29th September 2019. This is our first long vacation together after a while. Feeling giddy all the way.
We are ready to fly!
We touched down Terminal 1 about 7am 30th Sept. It was a busy morning with long queues at the Immigration. It’s still a long way to reach our destination as we are heading straight to London via Eurostar on the same day.

From the Terminal 1, we have to take the CDGVAL shuttle to Terminal 3 where the train to Paris is. Take RER B train to Gare du Nord, where the Eurostar is. To purchase the ticket, it’s either by ticketing machines or the counter. Fare to GDN is €10.30/pax.

Arrive at Gare du Nord

The journey with Eurostar to London will take about 2 hours. Luckily, we purchase some food and drinks before boarding as the café inside the Eurostar is not operating on that day. The station in London is St Pancras International, which is besides King’s Cross Station.
Off to London
For accommodation in London, we book the Kings Cross St Pancras Studio 1 via Booking.com. This is for 3 nights stay. The studio is within walking distance to Kings Cross and St Pancras International. After check-in, we decided to have some rest and freshen up before going out to explore a little and get some dinner.
