This was my second visit to Bali; my first was with Cik Ita back in March 2014. Why I came back? I don’t have the exact reason though, just because I guess.
Well, this time I booked the hotel during Matta Fair Sept 2015. The hotel was Alaya Resort Kuta. Maybe I was intrigued (terpikat? terpesona?) with the cute and pretty promoter hence I decided to confirm there and then.
As usual, for flight, I prefer Malindo than AA. We got an evening flight though. So I decided to do the packing on the morning itself haha. (I’m a last minute person). It was a 3-hour flight, so I can watched at least 1 movie. Surprise surprise, this time they provided us meals. Nice Nasi Beriyani by the way. About 8pm, we arrived at Ngurah Rai Airport and the hotel van already waiting for us.
Check-out our room. Everything is more than okay except for the view. We got a meh view, sigh…

For the second day, our original plan was to actually rent a motorbike or speda as the local calls it. Internet rate is for IDR50,000, you can get a decent bike. On the street of Kuta though, they want at least IDR80,000! I’m sure if we bargain, we can get lower, but both of us are not good at this, unfortunately. Furthermore, hubby seems more interested in getting a driver and car instead of riding, huh.
End up, we decided take the tour, with driver (supir) and car, everything included, except meals of course. So since I’ve been to Bali last 2014, I wouldn’t want to visit the same site, thus we decided to take the route to Bedugul Temple, which we will have only 2 stops, Taman Ayun Temple and Luwak Coffee.
It was a very hot day that day. We arrived at Taman Ayun Temple at about 11am but it feels like it was already 1pm. Not many visitors at that time. The entrance fee is IDR20,000 per person. this rate is for foreigners. For local only IDR10,000. Those who are wearing shorts are required to wear sarong. Let’s see what’s inside this temple shall we.
We didn’t spend much time in there, just walking 1 round and then we left. The journey to Bedugul took quite some times as we had to climb hills. The weather slowly cool down and breezy. We then stop by a Luwak Coffee shop by the road. There are lots of shops with the same concept in Bali. Visitors are given free tasting of various flavor of coffee and tea. But if you want to taste Luwak Coffee, you have to pay, IDR10,000 if I’m not mistaken. If you like certain flavor, treat yourself in the shop and shop to your heart content.
Unfortunately, as we climbing further up and nearer to Bedugul, the rain starts to pour quite heavily. So we decided to have our lunch while waiting for the rain to stop. The restaurant caters both buffet and ala carte. It is advisable to choose the buffet as they offer quite a lot of choices. I don’t remember the restaurant name but it was situated next to a big mosque near the temple entrance.
After the rain stops, we resumed our visit to Bedugul Temple. It was still drizzling but that didn’t stop us from enjoying the view and posing. Haha. It was quite foggy but slowly changed to the better. There are a few activities can be done here such as boat ride and kayaking. We just strolling and posing around. We then decided to head back home and arrived at the hotel at about 6pm.
For dinner that night, we chose a cozy Ayam Penyet restaurant near Kuta Beach.

After buying souvenir and had our lunch at Burger King, we then head back to the hotel for airport transfer.
